ABOUT STONEMEC™

STONEMEC™ is a support system designed to carry individual stone load while having independent movement factor from main building substrate. This in turn reduces stress within the stone wall during seismic activity or ongoing building movement due to unstable ground and/or thermal activity.

Independent (suspended) mechanical veneer fixing over cavity has no similarity to traditional masonry installation methods. Traditionally, stone veneers rely on adjoining masonry and base for strength, any mechanical strengthening in this situation is generally relevant to lateral movement only. Modern techniques are far superior to these traditional methods.
